The upcoming film is based on the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. The novelŌĆÖs story follows disposable employee Mickey7 on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. It features the stark contrast when Mickey7ŌĆÖs new body gets regenerated against its tragic fate while humansŌĆÖ lives become threatened. Based on Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc RochetteŌĆÖs novel of the same name, the movie is great at giving an insight into the original novel but lacks detailed explanations about the train. The film was set in the same period as the original novelŌĆÖs yet centered on a new story. Meanwhile, a limited series based on Parasite is currently in the works at HBO. Bong will write, direct and produce for his production company Offscreen, alongside Kate Street Picture Company and Plan B. The upcoming film has not set its fixed release date.
