The Medium follows three-month-long records about the bloodline of a shaman family who resides in a mountain village in Thailand. Rang Jong means ŌĆ£shamanŌĆØ in Thai. One thing to note about The Medium is that itŌĆÖs director NaŌĆÖs first project since his hit film The Wailing. In this new project, Na participated in the original scenario, planning, and production. Plus, Banjong Pisanthanakun, who opened a new horizon for Thai horror films with the 2004 film Shutter, was tapped as the director. The Jokers Film, which previously handled the French distribution of Bong Joon HoŌĆÖs Parasite and Park Chan WooŌĆÖs The Handmaiden, has already acquired this new thriller for the release in France. Variety reported The MediumŌĆśs July commercial release. It introduced that ŌĆ£the creepy fascination for shamanism that continues to exist in modern-day Thailand and Korea will be on full display this summer.ŌĆØ
