According to insiders, Maestra (literal title) is based on the French series of the same name. It depicts the struggles and growth of a female conductor, and Lee Young Ae has recently joined the project to play the lead character. It is said that Lee Young Ae, who was well-received for her transformation in JTBCŌĆÖs Inspector Koo, wanted to challenge another project where she could show a new side of herself. And her final choice was Maestra which centers around a female conductor, which is rarely dealt with.
