An official from the KBS drama team told Daily Sports on Wednesday, ŌĆ£We decided that releasing Dear. M at this moment is impossible, so we decided to air alternative programs the next few weeks and move up the premiere date of Imitation.ŌĆØ Based on the webtoon of the same name, Imitation will be a tribute to Korean idols. The drama revolves around four artists/groups: ŌĆ£the top starŌĆØ Larima, ŌĆ£the perfect idolsŌĆØ SHAX, ŌĆ£the growing idolsŌĆØ Tea Party, and ŌĆ£the passionate idolsŌĆØ Sparkling. The realistic yet exciting portrayal of the idol industry and fandoms will intrigue curiosity among the viewers, who may not be a fan of K-pop. The cast lineup includes Parasite actress Jung Ji So; ATEEZŌĆÖs Yunho, Seonghwa, Jongho, and San; SF9ŌĆÖs Chani and Hwiyoung; U-KISSŌĆÖs Jun; T-araŌĆÖs Jiyeon. Originally, Imitation was scheduled to premiere at the end of May, but the date has been preponed as Dear. M halted all its planned schedules with the controversy over Park Hye SooŌĆÖs alleged school violence. The scandal against Park, who plays the female lead in Dear.
