On the 18th of December, Acemaker Movieworks officially announced to postpone the release of New Year Blues, which was originally planned on the 30th. They added, ŌĆ£We postponed the release date to prevent further spread and consequential damages of the Coronavirus.ŌĆØ Press conferences and interviews for the movie planned for the 22nd of this month have also been postponed along with the release. Directed by Marriage BlueŌĆśs director Hong Ji Young, New Year Blues presents a week in which four couples full of hope and worries spend as they get over the hardships of life and hope to be happier in the new year. With casts such as Kim Kang Woo, Yoo In Na, Yoon Yeon Seok, Lee Yeon Hee, Yoo Teo, Choi Soo Young, Lee Dong Hwi, Chen Duling, and Yum Hye Ran, the movie gained a lot of expectations for its sweet romance and relatability. As highly hoped Korean films are postponed one by one, the end of 2020 is expected to be empty of any new Korean films.
